At 7:09 this morning, a gunman opened fire on many congressmen and aides as they were practicing for the upcoming baseball game played annually for charity. The gunman, James Hodgkinson, is reported to have multiple anti-Trump posts and comments on his social media. There were five people who were shot, one of whom is House Majority Whip Steve Scalise who was shot is the hip. Had it not been for Representative Scalise's security detail that was present, the situation could have been a lot worse. This poses the question if congressmen should have more security in their daily lives. What do you think? Comment below.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of this tragedy UPDATE: Representative Steve Scalise has come out of surgery, but is in "critical condition." It should not go unnoticed, however, that another tragedy, in London, has occurred. An apartment building caught fire leaving at least ten people dead and at least sixty injured. Our prayers are with the people of London as well.

The U.S. health care crisis is gaining even more attention every day. Eight years ago, President Obama and the Congress passed "Obamacare," which is now under fire. President Trump points to the premium increases as part of the problem, among other things. What do you think? Would you prefer to keep Obamacare or would you like to see the institution of another bill? You decide! Make sure to comment below!
Recently, the Attorneys General of Maryland and Washington D.C. have come forth saying they may sue the President for possibly receiving money from foreign governments. This could be considered unconstitutional. Some say this act was for the benefit of his businesses. So, what do you think? Do you believe that this may have been brought up in the wake of President Trump saying he feels "vindicated" (after James Comey's hearing) because some think he still should be prosecuted for something. Or, do you feel that this is just another example of "corruption?" Comment your opinion below!
Attorney General Jeff Sessions is set to testify Tuesday before the Senate Intelligence Committee. This comes weeks after Sessions recused himself from the investigation. Now, there is a lot of anticipation towards this hearing. The members will most likely ask Sessions about his connections/meetings/conversations (if any) with the Russians. If admits to these correspondences, he may be confessing to perjury in a roundabout way, because of what he said weeks ago in a previous hearing before a different committee. What do you think? Do you think Sessions is yet another piece to this giant puzzle regarding Russia? Or, is Sessions simply innocent and his recusal was to prevent any obstruction of the case? You decide! One day after former Director of the FBI, James Comey, testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee, President Donald Trump held a news conference with Klaus Iohannis, the President of Romania. The topic of questions quickly turned from NATO to the current crisis sweeping headlines, did the President obstruct justice and collude with Russia. When asked, Trump tried to put out any "fire" by essentially saying there were no actions of that matter. Soon, a reporter asked whether or not tapes existed of his conversations with James Comey, to which he said to some to degree, "Wait and see." What do you think? Do you think this was another move by Trump to deflect attention from his involvement in this case? Or, do you think the President was simply restating the truth that he didn't obstruct justice or collude with Russia? You decide! Comment below.
Today, former FBI Director James Comey testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Senators including Committee Chairman Richard Burr and Committee Vice Chairman Mark Waren asked the former head of the Bureau questions regarding his conversations with President Trump and the investigation into Russia's meddling in the 2016 Presidential Election. Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee that he kept "contemporaneous" notes (his memos) following his various conversations with President Trump. As of now, these notes are the only "official" record of what may have been said during Comey's discussions with Trump (as of right now, no tapes are known to exist). The President says he feels "vindicated, " but some still think there is a possibility President Trump committed obstruction of justice. What do you think? Did the President commit obstruction of justice by saying to Comey, "I hope you can let this go," or is this attention from the media just another example of this so-called "witch-hunt?" You decide!
